My Purpose
My practice is based on the following principals. As stated in Dorlan's Dictionary, health is "a state of complete physical, mental and social well being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." I do not treat symptoms. They only indicate a problem in the body's ability to function normally.
The central nervous system, consisting of the brain and spinal cord is responsible for the integration all body function at all times. Every tissue cell of the body is connected to the central nervous system via a nerve. When this path is compromised, body function is impaired and symptoms develop. Spinal subluxation (misalignment) represents the underlying cause of this situation. Chiropractic as I practice is the detection and correction of the spinal subluxation complex by hand.
"When your spine is
pliable, elastic and supple, you are young and buoyant.
As your backbone stiffens, becomes rigid, and inflexible, you become
old." |
